Fire Hydrant Restoration
Our program consists of furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, incidentals, and expertise necessary for the sandblasting, priming and painting of fire hydrants. Our specified services may also include different color hydrant caps and hydrant cap lubricating.
Scope of Work Provided
The work included in the basic program shall be for fire hydrant maintenance sandblasting, priming, and painting. All work conforms to the accepted practices for sandblasting and painting hydrants. Work shall include complete sandblasting, one spray coating of primer material within four hours of sandblasting, one spray coating of paint material within 24 to 48 hours after primer application on each fire hydrant weather permitting. Furthermore, GIANT is responsible for reasonable cleanup of excess sandblast material from the sidewalk, driveway, and surrounding paved areas. GIANT will provide reasonable protection to any sidewalk, driveway, paved area, turf and/or landscaping so spray primer/paint does not discolor previously mentioned areas.
